Swiss wedding in Piedmont | Leonie + Fabian
With a friendly, young and beautiful couple as Leonie and Fabian, our work was really easy and fun!
They came from Switzerland with their closest friends and relatives to celebrate their love, surrounded by the beautiful vineyards of Monferrato. They chose Rossella of Sposami Oggi for their chic-rustic decorations, and Cascina Faletta for its superlative food and the beautiful view.
The day started with them getting ready, Leonie at Cascina Faletta, helped by her sisters and friends, Fabian at the b&b I Castagnoni with his bestman. Helped by our colleague Federico, we enjoyed a lot these super-chill first moments of the day, and we arrived at the ceremony with a great enthusiasm for the work that we had done until that moment!
After a very emotional ceremony in the Church of Lu Monferrato, they wandered around the village with a lovely ape car, and they visited the nearby vineyards for a few couple shots.
The party continued with very touching speeches and fun moments, and it ended with the formal shots. But the defining moment of the day (for us photographers, of course!) was Leonie’s and Fabian’s photo session at sunset: they were absolutely amazing at posing for us in the most natural and spontaneous way, and we had a great light for our photographs!
Enjoy the photos of this beautiful day!

Getting married in Piedmont: top wedding venues in Monferrato
Are you dreaming of a wedding in Italy? There’s a magic hidden corner of it waiting just for you to discover it!
Do you picture your big day taking place on the backdrop of a lovely view on rolling hills, vineyards and ancient farms? And what about a delicious dinner with a top selection of regional specialties and first class Piedmontese wines? Sounds like a memory that you and your guests would cherish forever after!
Monferrato is one of the most beautiful regions of Piedmont: an idillic countryside in between the towns of Asti, Alessandria and its historical capital, Casale Monferrato.
Here, vineyards fan out in all directions, interspersed with castles and celebrated restaurants. In Monferrato you will find some of our personal favorite wedding locations of Piedmont, all offering excellent food, sceneries, and hospitality.
Here’s our top choices for the Langhe and Monferrato area:
This is DEFINITELY our most favorite location ever! It’s an ancient villa, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. Nicola, the owner, has reconverted the old structure in a beautiful boutique hotel: every room is different from the others, and they each have a unique design. The courtyard has a lovely view on the countryside, and the cuisine is exquisite!
The venue has multiple options for your ceremony: a lovely backyard, a terrace on the vineyards, a spacious porch overlooking the pool. After a long day, the dinner under the stars is truly unforgettable.
OUR FAV THINGS: the little bulb lights in the courtyard, the landscape, the cuisine.
A location surrounded by vineyards: Cascina Faletta is famous for its great restaurant and the excellence of its winery. The view on the countryside is breathtaking, and the pool area is the perfect choice for a lovely aperitif and a cool party. Cascina Faletta is a great choice for winter weddings as well, since its indoor dining room is spacious, bright and very cozy.
OUR FAV THINGS: the bright dining room with its large windows, the hilltop vineyard for great romantic shots at sunset.
The lovely Castello di Vaglio in the countryside of Piedmont close to Asti – turns out to be a gem of a wedding venue.
The Castello is located in a very nice spot, in the heart of an ancient hilltop village. The view from its courtyard is truly amazing, and the big covered dining area is the perfect place for a lovely dinner (and a safe choice in case of bad weather!). An excellent local restaurant situated right next to the venue makes it super easy and convenient to get the best regional specialties for you and your guests!
OUR FAV THINGS: the restaurant near the castle, the open air dinner area covered by a roof, the spacious courtyard overlooking the countryside.
This elegant 16th century villa has been given a contemporary makeover and is now a beautiful, comfortable four-star hotel with a relaxing spa centre and a gourmet restaurant.
It’s the perfect choice for an elegant wedding in a luxurious setting, and it also has ample spaces for weddings with a lot of guests.
OUR FAV THINGS: the bridal suite with the painted ceilings and the big bed, the garden at sunset.
