We always love to travel to a Tuscany destination wedding, and this time we couldn’t be happier about the venue: the farmhouse Borgo Castelvecchi is the perfect location for a truly breathtaking and romantic wedding. This historic 16th-century village offers the most beautiful and serene escape from the fast pace of everyday life, surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Chianti.

The wedding day started with the bride and groom getting ready in their rooms, just relaxing with their friends and taking in the breathtaking surroundings as they prepared for the big day. Therese and Bjornar were both stunning, and they absolutely nailed the perfect look for their dream wedding.

After the ceremony, Therese and Bjornar joined us for photos in the countryside around the Borgo. Since no destination wedding in Tuscany is complete without a romantic, vintage Italian car, they rode in style an historical Fiat 500, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

Dinner was served in the charming courtyard of the Borgo, lit by rows of warm light bulbs – a setup that we absolutely love for wedding dinners! The very international guests – they were truly from all over! – sat at a long imperial table, and enjoyed a delicious meal featuring local Tuscan cuisine and the finest wines from the surrounding vineyards. We admit that we couldn’t resist, and we snacked with a few mulberries from the huge, beautiful trees all around the dinner table, they were so sweet!

The ceremony took place in the beautiful sunny garden of the Borgo, surrounded by lush greenery and summer blooms. The warm sun and natural beauty of the setting created a truly romantic atmosphere for the couple to exchange their vows.

After dinner and a few beautiful speeches, the party began. The groom, Bjornar, took center stage, playing the drums and leading everyone in a night of dancing and celebration. Therese joined him for a first dance after quickly slipping into an amazing evening dress, and sounds of laughter and music filled the air, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone – us included!
